Welcome to Aberdaron Farm Holidays
We as a family have been farming at Bryn Gwynt for over 10 years, and my parents and grandparents farmed here before us. We are a small beef and sheep farm and have only recently diversified into the tourism industry.
Our first project was converting the old milk sheds into a holiday cottage, then we established the caravan and camping site, and then the old workshop into a bunkhouse. We are therefore, quite confident that we have a good selection of accommodation to offer to several different budgets and expectations from basic accommodation in the bunkhouse to more luxurious accommodation in the cottage. Our site has also good and clean facilities.
Our latest venture is into a completely different market - a bakery!! Back in November 2012, we bought the bakery in the village of Aberdaron and it is going from strength to strength. Come and taste our daily fresh homemade bread and cakes!
Therefore, why not enjoy a new holiday experience for old and young alike on the tip of the Lleyn Peninsula of North Wales. For animal lovers, we have on the farm a friendly pigmy goat called Sharon and Del the golden retriever, both always after lots of attention and company. Why not try your hand at fishing off the rocks literally a few minutes walk away from us where you may catch some Mullet, Bass, Pollock, Mackerel or even some Cod. If you are an ornithologist you may have the opportunity to see birds of prey (Buzzard, Hawk, Kite & Owls), sea birds (Cormorant, Gannet, Puffins & Guillemot) or some Choughs, Cuckoos & Kingfishers. Or just enjoy the beautiful views from Anelog or the sandy beaches of Aberdaron and Whistling Sands. Click on one of our Links in the Information section to plan your walks on the newly opened coastal path along the Lleyn Peninsula or to book a guided walk, or for the more adventurous, why not try surfing lessons at Whistling Sands or Abersoch?
We hope that we have captured enough of your imagination to have tempted you to come and visit us here, and one thing is certain, a warm welsh welcome will await you, along with a fresh loaf of bread, bara brith and welsh butter!!!
Thank you for visiting our website.
